2020 год стал очень интересным в мире видеоигр: подоспели новые консоли. В то время как киноиндустрия практически остановилась, в играх недостатка не было. И вот в конце года, по традиции, Джефф Кили объявил номинантов на The Game Awards 2020 – видеоигровой «Оскар».
За статус «Игры года» поборются Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II и Hades. Пожалуй, главный сюрприз – это включение в список инди-игры, а также ремейка. Многие специалисты были уверены, что последним претендентом обязательно окажется Half-Life: Alyx, но, вестимо, VR всё ещё недостаточно популярная ниша.
